The following enhancements are available with this release of your RSS 
software:

1. Decoder Display enables Secondary Call, Call Forward, Group Call 
   and External alarm features.

2. The External Alarm feature can now be enabled for group calls. 

   EXTERNAL ALARM-I
   In this field you specify whether the External Alarm feature should be 
   activated when the Individual Call or Decoder Display Call is received.
   By default this option is set to NO.

   EXTERNAL ALARM-G
   In this field you specify whether the External Alarm feature should be 
   activated when a Group Call is received.
   By default this option is set to NO.

The following new options and enhancements are available with this release of 
your RSS software:

1. FIXED UPSTART CHANNEL..........PWRCHN
In this field you indicate if your radio should power up on the channel 
that it was on when previously switched off (=Disabled), of if it should 
power up on a fixed channel, i.e. the 1st channel in the channel list of 
the first zone (=Enabled).
By default this option is Disabled.

2. FIXED ALERT TONE VOLUME..........FIXALR
The volume of the alert tones generated by the radio may be set independently 
of the volume control.
Fixed volume alerts are intended to be used in situations where the user will 
be some distance from his radio and wishes to hear the alerts but does not 
then want to have to turn down the radio volume to a suitable level for 
communication.
If Enabled, the fixed volume can be set in the range 1 - 15, in steps of 1. 
The default is 8.

3. MUTE CALL ALERT TONE..........MUTCAL
The alerts sounded by the radio when a call is received can be disabled if 
silent operation is required. For silent operation also the Keypad Feedback 
Tones may be disabled.
By default this option is Disabled.

4. BUTTON ASSIGNMENT............BUTPSH/BUTSD1/2/3
The MENU FUNCTION is now available in the Portable radios with Continuous 
Rotary (the N5 models). This means that the Push Button and 
Side Buttons 1, 2 and 3 can be programmed with the HOME option.

FURTHER ENHANCEMENTS ARE:
- Call forwarding & Secondary Call can now be specified as a 3 tone sequence 
  on the Decoder Assignment screen.
- Single tone parameters can now be specified for Tone system 2 on the 
  Encoder Sequence screen.
- Acknowledge can be specified for the PTT key telegram.

FOLLOWING DEFAULT SETTINGS HAVE BEEN CHANGED
- External Alarm Timer: default is 2 seconds.
- Zone Radio option: default is Enabled.
- Backlight Time out Time: default for Portables is 10 seconds.

INSTALLATION NOTE
The installation can be made automatically: 
% Insert disk 1 of 2 in drive A:.
% Type A:INSTALL and press Enter. 
  Follow the instructions on the screen and the autoinstaller will install 
  the RSS on your harddisk in directory C:\MRSS\M2100.
